Black Amethyst #1

I never even knew that Amethyst could be black, but the stone expert that brought me shopping was very excited about this piece.  Some people call it "gray amethyst" and it's from Uruguay. Of the two black amethyst pieces we found, this one is a darker color.

The height is approximately 3".  The base is approximately 5"x7".
